1st Bowling Experience

We ventured to Madrid on Saturday and Adrian got to try bowling for the 1st time. Tiger Bowl is a little bowling alley with 8 lanes which seemed pretty clean for the girls. I am so used to to old smokey bowling alleys like when we were kids...don't miss those!

 I love that they had little kid bowling shoes...so adorable :)

 I can't help but think of the movie "Uncle Buck" when Adrian slowly pushed her ball down the lane :)

I think someone is done...the girls had a great time but one game for them was about enough.

Snowfall Fun!!

Yesterday Adrian and I ventured outside while we had some flurries.  Adrian is attempting to catch some snowflakes on her tongue:)

Adrian got these wood snowman pieces for Christmas and we tested them out...worked pretty well.

On top of our mini hill in our front yard...with getting just over 13 inches in our last snow storm we have plenty of snow. We also have lots of broken tree branches as a result which you can see kind of in the tree behind.

 Below are a few random pics from Christmas back in Rockford. Adrian's school is closed until January 2nd so we have been just hanging out trying to stay busy now that we are back in Polk City.

Happy Halloween

Below are some pics from last Sat...Adrian had a Birthday Party/Halloween Party with her little friends. It was a good time but a little chaotic at times. The party was from 11-3pm and when 3pm rolled around the girls didn't want to leave and literally 3 out of the 4 girls left crying from the house :)

 A little pumpkin painting

 The girls were gearing up to try their first pinata experience which was the "unbreakable" pinata. We ultimately had to cut various holes in the pumpkin so the candy would come out.

 We tried a little pumpkin carving but Adrian did not want to touch the inside of the pumpkin. I would of thought most kids would love cleaning out the pumpkin but not Adrian she wanted nothing to do with it.

17 Weeks Pregnant

So the news has been out for awhile but I am finally posting it on the blog. Today I am 17 weeks pregnant and the due date has been set for April 9th.

I am showing more then I was with Adrian which is common on the 2nd. At 16 weeks I was able to feel the baby move which was earlier then I expected.

Adrian is super excited...when we ask her if she wants a brother or a sister she often says sister but every now and then she will say brother. We will have to wait and see I guess...

4 Years Old

Adrian officially turned 4 on Oct. 22nd at 7:01 pm. Today she had her wellness check-up and got some updated stats from last year.

Weight: 40.4 lbs (up 5 lbs from last year) 83rd percentile

Height: 42 inches (up 2 1/2 from last year) 89 percentile

Adrian has been doing great...she has adjusted well to her new daycare center which we really like. We have parent teacher conferences coming up and we are also invited to a Thanksgiving Luncheon with Adrian in 2 weeks which will be fun.

Favorite Movies: Jumanji, Madagascar

Favorite Activities: Rolling dice, Reading books (Russell the Sheep & Splat the Cat), Painting, Putting stickers on anything! 

Some things that haven't really changed...Adrian always likes to go outside, swinging at the park and lastly collecting things. She loves gathering things so lets hope she won't end up on a Hoarders show in 30 years :) Adrian has always been super sweet and loving...giving lots of kisses and saying "I love you" at the cutest times. For example carving a pumpkin last night she told me she loved me...melts my heart :)

So Adrian's big b-day gift from Mitch and I was a "new" room...actually a big girl room since Adrian has been sleeping essentially in her crib since she was born with just the front rail removed. So, the 2 pics below are of her room a couple months ago.

Alot of the things in the room are used or have been made. The bookcase was made by Adrian's Grandparents (Sinnwell). The basket holding her stuffed animals are flower baskets spray painted and the liner removed.

 The headboard, footboard, nightstand, and dresser purchased on Craigslist (not the mattress :)...I don't need a bedbug infestation!

 Adrian and I made the owl!

 Grandma Harden re-covered the photo board with owl fabric. Grandpa Harden helped make the coat rack with fun doorknobs.

 Butterfly's were spray painted to match decor. Lastly the birdhouse I painted and the grass looking rug before I put in several, several hours on making (I will never make another!)

Adrian loved her room and we have had troubles getting her to go to bed now because she likes sitting up in bed reading at night and playing with her new little birdies she got...we are waiting for the novelty to wear off.

Fun with Friends

Below are some pics of Adrian with her friend Gracin at her 4 yr. B-day party which was a cowgirl theme. The girls had a great time and I love seeing them play. Especially now that Adrian goes to a new daycare and the weekends are the only chance to play with her old friends from the "in home" daycare.

Again this year we got season passes to the Center Grove Orchard along with Gracin's Family.

 The Orchard has added some new stuff this year and the inflatable horses are one of the new additions.

Summer Pics

I have been behind on updating the blog so I have some pics from the month of Aug.

Adrian took her 1st trip to Adventureland, the weather was nice and sunny and not too hot!

 Adrian started Aug. 17th at a daycare center in Polk City. I was worried about her transition since Adrian has been in an in-home daycare for 3 plus years. The first week was a little hard at drop off time but Adrian really did great. The first day I picked her up she ran up to me and said "Mommy, I'm not scared anymore" :)

Since getting my new camera I try to take more pics and Adrian is getting more into "posing" :)

 Another 1st for Adrian was that she started last night Tap Dance class. Her little friend Gracin is also taking the class and they both did great!
